What's New

Greetings from London

As of this writing, I’ve been here in London for just a couple of days. I decided to come over a few days early and deal with the time change before I start a small marathon of interviews, mostly radio. The album is being released in this part of the world on January 18th, but I’m already getting some nice airplay. The album has already been “Album of the Week” on BBC 2, and will get the same treatment in Northern Ireland next week. It’s very cold here right now. I tried to stay out longer while roaming about town today, but after a while it’s just too much. A couple of my interviews involve playing a song or two live, so I’m looking forward to that. Having a few solo shows under my belt has left me wanting to do more, so I’m hoping I might have a chance to come back here with my band and see what happens. Of course, my own personal schedule depends on what the mother ship (Eagles) will be up to. As most of you know, we will be doing at least a handful of shows starting mid-April, and I’m still waiting to hear about the summer.

My sincere thanks to everyone who was able to make it to any of the shows last October, then December. I truly had the best time and, as I’ve said, I look forward to performing much more in the future ...

Bye for now,
Timothy

Very happy to hear that is going well over there...we are looking forward to more solo shows, too! In the meantime, we will see you at the 'Bowl'....
Have a Good Day!

I am really happy that, things are going well for you with your music Timothy. I know that performing with the mother ship is good for you but, I am sure doing your solo tours means more than a lot to you too. The Eagles took over one more time...
I still hoping that you can keep performing more and make it to Canada, some time in the future, at least. That would be a great deal for me, and I am sure for the other fans that you have here in Toronto and the rest of Canada as well. I wish you the very best as always, and be careful with the cold, try to stay warm so you can still performing. Lol!
Take care,
Graciela

I hope you didn't freeze in London. And I also hope you will consider doing some shows in the Netherlands as well as in England.

I hope you will perform in France, soon.
I've travelled from France on October just to see you performing in NYC at the Bitter End, it as amazing...
And I hope to see the Eagles performing this year, wherever, last year I travelled on July to Madrid.
Kisses

Enjoyed your BBC interview last week and your rendition of "Can't Find My Way Home." Okay, so here's an odd one: Speaking of Ireland, I think "Garten Mother's Lullaby" is Irish. Used to sing it to my kids. I can hear your voice doing it, Timothy. I know it's REALLY different from everything else I've heard from you, but I can SO hear your voice in that song. Just think about it. Enjoy your trip!

You should do more shows...you could do a second one in Portland we wouldn't mind...I would love it. One show after 30 years is not enough!

Hi, Timothy and Hank! Timothy, I saw you guys perform in Chicago and it was superb and a very cool show. I had never seen you live before. I grew up on the Eagles as one of the pivotal bands in my life. I remember buying the Eagles Greatest Hits. I was just a white kid in America, listening to the British Invasion and Detroit rock and roll and so much of the Pop Music. The Eagles were my accompaniment for a cross country road trip to where else, but California! Even at 12, I could see that this music was uniquely something American. I can tell you why. While other rock bands claimed they were channeling the blues, the Eagles found the right mix with country, rock, blues, folk, soul and pop. I'll bet that the Sacramento San Joaquin, the mojave desert and that special coastal California weather and culture were influences. Timothy, seeing and hearing you live with your solo band was a very special experience for me, especially when you kicked into "White Boy From Sacramento". I had just moved back from there and I had no idea you wrote this song. In fact it was the first song I heard, as I walked into the Chicago room. Incredible. What a buildup on that song! Wow, those background vocalists can sing! The whole TBS band is amazing, from the drums and piano to of course my friend, Hank Linderman. Amazing. Please play some more of these shows in Southern California in 2010. L.A.! Jeff
