February Greetings
Hello Everyone,
Sorry to say that my interest in blogging goes in and out (mostly out lately), but it seems I do have some things to talk about, and if you’ve gotten this far on the site you can probably guess what that is: I made a video (What a concept). I decided to try and jump start some renewed interest in “Expando”, so I thought I’d have a little fun with the song, “Friday Night” ... And it was fun. It was shot over a four day period, and includes the talents of directors, Bill and Zak Hudson, players Van Dyke Parks, Hank Linderman, and Herman Matthews, and of course, the beautiful Jean Schmit. Stay tuned for some “Friday Night” related swag that will be available within the next couple of weeks as well.
On another note, Eagles are gearing up to go to the Far East soon. This will be interesting because we’re going to some places we’ve never been before, including Beijing, Singapore, Shanghai, Taipei, and Korea. And, it goes without saying that we look forward to spending time in Hong Kong and Japan once again.
Here’s hoping I might want to write a little more often.
That’s it for now ...
Best wishes to all,
Timothy
A Personal Thanks
To all well wishers,
I know I’ve sent out my thank you’s already, but that was before I actually read each and every message in that extremely generous e-card (via the L & M Fansite). I now have two days off before we start making up the shows we missed (sorry about that), and I thought I should really tune in to all the great energy that’s been coming my way. I want to tell you I am truly touched by all who participated. Not only did I hear from long time fans, but I was happy to hear from a few people I haven’t seen, or heard from, in a long time. So, it’s an understatement when I say, thank you all for your concern, your thoughts, and your prayers.
Now, since I already have three post-trauma shows under my belt, let’s all put this behind us and continue on our quest to be good humans... I do know you’re out there...
Onward,
Timothy
TBS Health Update
Dear all,
Here’s my mid-May adventure story:
On Monday, May 10th, we completed our second show in Vancouver. We then took a short, late night flight into Seattle where we were to have a nice two day break. I’m sure the following day was similar for everyone, a long sleep-in morning, followed by a no pressure, lazy day, and evening. So far, so good. My second day off started much earlier and with more energy. Everything seemed fine upon arising. In the latter part of the morning, I started to feel some physical discomfort. I tried to ignore it, not thinking too much about it. In fact, I carried on that way until the evening when it became more than obvious that I had to take some kind of action. In a nutshell, when I finally cried “Uncle”, this is what happened: A doctor visit to the hotel... a visit to the Emergency Room at the Hospital... tests, cat scans, all that fun stuff... checking in as a patient in the hospital... two days of observation, poking, probing, and another cat scan. By Friday, after missing the Seattle show, and now the third Vancouver gig, one choice remained...surgery. So, there I am, thinking, ‘Well, I’m finally at the older-guy-getting-his-first-surgery phase of life.’ I was not a happy camper. Anyway, by noon that day I was completely sedated, and without over-sharing, undergoing a minor abdominal surgery. I had to stay there to be watched over for a couple more days, and am now, I’m happy to say, writing this from the confines of my own home. Fear not... I am on the mend and will be on stage in Denver this Thursday the 20th. We will be going back to make up the shows we were forced to miss. Stay tuned for the dates.
Many, many thanks to all who have been expressing their concern over my well being. It is much appreciated.
See you soon...
Timothy
EXPANDO AVAILABLE AT EAGLES’ SHOWS
Hello All,
I am now fully immersed in the touring world of the Eagles, and it’s taking up the majority of my time, but I’m happy to be back. As most of you know, we have this spring run of shows, then we’ll be doing the summer stadium shows starting in June. What you probably don't know is that another division of Universal has exuberantly taken over my project and is treating it as a new release. That would be Universal Music Entertainment, or UMe. I’m very happy to have them on board as they are showing an excitement that was previously missing. I will continue to do press and radio as much as possible with my busy schedule. Also, something new: Expando is now being sold at every Eagles show. You can find it along side all the other items, such as T-shirts and hats. So, if you’re planning on seeing the band soon, here’s an easy way to pick up a copy or two.
As always, I thank you for your support ... Keep an eye out on this site for more info as to what I’m up to, and I’ll see you on the road.

Upcoming UK Solo Shows and Eagles Spring Tour
Dear all,
I’ve been laying low for a while, but at the same time I’m staying busy. As many of you know, it’s sometimes hard to actually relax without your brain reaching out in all directions at once at lightning speed. I have nothing to complain about, however, and am able to live a life that continues to amaze me. Soon I will be performing again, and that’s always a good thing for me. The UK has really embraced the
new CD, and because of that, I’m taking my entire band over there at the end of March to do a few shows. I will also do a morning TV show and more radio while there. This will be a short run, though, because of spring commitments with the Eagles. Speaking of that, be sure to keep your eyes open as there may be a few more shows added...Don’t hold me to that, but I think it’s looking pretty good. That’s it...short and sweet.
As Always,
Thanks for visiting,
Greetings from London
As of this writing, I’ve been here in London for just a couple of days. I decided to come over a few days early and deal with the time change before I start a small marathon of interviews, mostly radio. The album is being released in this part of the world on January 18th, but I’m already getting some nice airplay. The album has already been “Album of the Week” on BBC 2, and will get the same treatment in Northern Ireland next week. It’s very cold here right now. I tried to stay out longer while roaming about town today, but after a while it’s just too much. A couple of my interviews involve playing a song or two live, so I’m looking forward to that. Having a few solo shows under my belt has left me wanting to do more, so I’m hoping I might have a chance to come back here with my band and see what happens. Of course, my own personal schedule depends on what the mother ship (Eagles) will be up to. As most of you know, we will be doing at least a handful of shows starting mid-April, and I’m still waiting to hear about the summer.
My sincere thanks to everyone who was able to make it to any of the shows last October, then December. I truly had the best time and, as I’ve said, I look forward to performing much more in the future ...
Bye for now,
Timothy
"Expando"
Hello,
I am now back from a short vacation, powered up and ready to get into this next run of shows. My thanks to everyone who has, so far, embraced the new album. One of the most frequently asked questions regarding the CD is about the title, “Expando." Well, for those who don’t know (I’ve talked about this now in numerous interviews), it was literally the brand name of a mobile home that was manufactured in the late 50’s and early 60’s. It was in one of these innovative "trailer houses" where, during my early and mid-teens, my family and I lived. I thought I’d share the web site where I rediscovered this gentle monster on wheels, and which eventually led me to calling the album, “Expando”. Go ahead and click HERE and you’ll find a page from a great old brochure that was the best virtual tour you could get at that time. So, there you have it. Until next time...
Thank you,
Timothy
Welcome...
Welcome to the new and improved site... I know it’s been a long time coming and I hope you will find it worth the wait. I’m currently writing from Nashville where I’ll be doing the second show of this mini-tour. At least that’s what it is so far. I’m hoping to be doing even more shows while the Eagles are on hiatus. My first solo show (ever) went very well in Los Angeles and we accomplished what we set out to do: Have some fun. I’m out here with a very cool little band. We’ve only been playing together for under three weeks, but everyone gets what this is all about, and it now feels like we’ve been doing this for a much longer period of time. As I am doing much smaller venues, it’s a totally different animal, and I must say, I’m very much enjoying it. The new album is coming soon now... October 20... and because of that I will be playing most of this new material... Of course, there will be some familiar things scattered here and there as well. I hope, if you’re near by, you’ll be able to come and join in on the festivities, and hopefully, if you can’t make it to one of these shows, I’ll soon be playing somewhere closer... I thoroughly enjoyed the making of this new album... I hope you enjoy listening to it... As always, thank you very much for your continued support ... It is greatly appreciated ...
Timothy
